Popularity Of Deep-Fried Oreos Grows At The Texas State Fair

Deep Fried Twinkies

The popularity of deep fried foods continues to grow at the Texas State Fair, where this year's newest fried delicacies include deep fried Oreos and deep fried Twinkies.

Deep fried Oreos have been around since last year at the fair, which takes place in Dallas and attracts over two million visitors each year. They were invented by Rebecca Rather, a recipe developer who was asked to create a new specialty item for the fair's concession stands. She took her inspiration from funnel cakes and fried pies sold at local county fairs near her home in San Antonio.

The deep-fried Oreos and deep-fried Twinkies are made by coating the cookies in a batter, then deep-frying them until they're golden brown. They're served with a side of chocolate or strawberry sauce for dipping.

This year, the fair is also offering deep-fried Twinkies for the first time. The Twinkies are dipped in batter and fried until they're crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. They're served with a side of vanilla ice cream.

Pair Ice Cream With Deep Fried Oreos

Deep fried Oreos are the most popular dessert among teenagers, and for a good reason! Not only do they taste delicious, but they’re also fun food to eat. If you want to enjoy ice cream with deep-fried Oreos, here’s what you do:

Pick your flavor of ice cream. There are so many choices out there that it can be overwhelming, but try to pick one that pairs well with the sweetness of the Oreos. For example, salted caramel or chocolate flavors would go well with the fried dough while fruity flavors such as strawberry crisp or mango coconut might taste too sweet and overwhelm the other flavors.

Choose your favorite deep-fried oreo recipe. You can either make them from scratch or buy a pre-made mix. If you’re feeling adventurous, try making your own! Enjoy your delicious creation! Ice cream and deep-fried Oreos are the perfect pair for a summer night in.

Pair Nutella With Deep Fried Twinkies

When it comes to food pairings, we're all for balancing flavors. There are plenty of people out there who think nothing of dousing their sweet treats with salt or adding hot sauce and sour cream to the fluffiest pancakes. But if you want to take your salty/sweet ratio up a notch, what else can you do besides just go all-in on one flavor? One incredibly indulgent (not to mention delicious) option is pairing Nutella with deep-fried Twinkies.

Nutella and deep fried Twinkie might seem like an unlikely duo at first glance, but they were made for each other. The chocolatey spread melts into the golden exterior of the fried cake, creating a rich and decadent flavor that's impossible to resist. And if you're worried about the Twinkies being too sweet, don't be – the frying process helps to tone down the sweetness and bring out the cake's natural flavors.

If you're looking for a delicious sweet and savory treat, then you need to pair Nutella with deep-fried Twinkies. This pairing is the perfect way to satisfy your cravings for both sweet and savory foods. The rich chocolate flavor of Nutella pairs perfectly with the light and fluffy texture of the deep fried Twinkies. Together, they create a heavenly bite that will have you coming back for more. So next time you're in the mood for something sweet and savory, be sure to give this pairing a try.

Or if you're feeling really adventurous, you can even add a little bit of salt to the Nutella before pairing it with the Twinkies. This will help to offset the sweetness of the chocolate and create an even more well-rounded flavor. So whether you're looking for an excuse to indulge in some fried food or you just want to try something new, be sure to give this unique pairing a try.
